We just returned from testing the Fusion Tech in the 78 degree warm waters of the Cayman Islands. Although we raised a few eyebrows and got a lot of questions, it was a grand success. We tried not to gloat when we saw other divers and divermasters in 3-5 mil wetsuits shivering on the windy deck during surface interval. Many of the wetsuit divers admitted being chilled by the safety stop on the second dive. But we were perfectly comfortable all dives with our Fusion drysuit and thin fleece undergarment. Afterwards, while others went to the showers, we went straight to lunch.

We did one shallow dive with our wetsuits just for comparison and were reminded the other reason we dive dry…that cold, clammy and uncomfortable after feeling.

We will have more about our trip soon on ScubaGadget.com

It may be warm, but it is more comfortable in a Fusion.

What were you wearing for thermals underneath the suit?  My guess is a wetsuit skin would be adequate to do the diving, any suggestions?

Thanks

We wore the Fourth Element Exotherm. But the Whites MK 0 and MK 1 would likely be great. A wetsuit skin may work too but we would the undergarmet to be more comfortable.
