Hi There,
The best option for installing a urinal valve it to have a repair center do it for you, or send it back to Whites. However, if you want to do it on your own here are the directions:
Installing Si-tech Valve Pad:
1. On the Nylon side of the core, find the silver circle indicating the area to punch for the valve. (Pvalveloaction.jpg)
2. Next you will want to punch a hole one and 7/16ths of inch, in diameter. See photo
3. Now flip the leg of the suit so the Polyurethane side is out.
4. Before adhering the pad/gasket clean the area with one of the cleaning agents mentioned previously.
5. Pull the lip of the valve pad through the suit material. Polyurethane side to the Nylon side. See photo
6. Rest the valve pad facedown atop a doughnut shaped rig. This allows the pad/gasket to sit flat without crushing the lip. *TIP* - use something to block the hole of the valve pad while heating to avoid overheating/damaging the lip!
7. Next we will heat the valve pad and use a roller to apply pressure and create a solid bond. (as mentioned take caution not to overheat the lip on the other side of the pad/gasket. (if damaged a proper seal may not be created when the valve itself is installed.)
8. After heating/applying pressure let cool until it is not warm at all anymore. Ensure a solid bond has been created, check for damage/deformation of the lip.
If the valve pad is not damaged and is solidly bonded to the suit, then you are ready to punch the hole in the fusion skin. Much easier than installing the valve pad.
Punching the hole (fusion bullet skin) :
1. From the knee pad measure up accordingly: S/M – 16cm L/xL – 17cm 2x/3x – 18-19cm. See photo (Demo skin is a 2xL so from the knee pad 18-19cm up.
2. From the inseam of the skin measure 1 inch inwards. See photo (this measurement is always 1 inch, regardless of the size of the skin.
3. Punch a hole 1 ½ inches. Note: this hole should be quite small or else the skin will be able to stretch, and slip out from under the valve.
